Ranthambore National Park

Sawai Madhopur is the gateway to the world renowned Ranthambhore National Park- the famous Tiger Reserve , just 12 km away from here. Ranthambhore has been a witness to the rise and fall of many rulers and a series of battle scenes. The 392 sq. km. Park comprises of dry deciduous forests sprawling over an undulating terrain of the Aravalli and Vindhyan ranges .The park is one of the finest tiger reserves in the country under the Project Tiger.  More >>

 
Corbett National Park

The Corbett National Park, where Project Tiger was launched in 1973, is regarded as India's finest national park and its major attractions are the Tiger, Indian Elephant and Leopard.Corbett national park is drained by the Ramganga river, the dam at Kalagarh forming a huge lake to the west of the national park. Sariska National Park

The Sariska National Park is situated near the Aravalli range in the Alwar district of Rajasthan. The park is at a distance of 200 km away from Delhi and covers an area of around 800 sq km. Craggy cliffs and narrow valleys mostly dominate the entire landscape of Sariska, which was declared a sanctuary in 1955 and finally made a national park in 1979. Mainly covered by dry deciduous vegetation, Sariska is home to animals like the tiger, hyena, sambhar, wildcat, langur, wild boar, nilgai, leopard and the chital.  More >>

 
Bandhavgarh National Park

A wildlife retreat where history and nature meet, Bandhavgarh is too far away from Kanha. Set amidst the Vindhyan ranges, the park has a series of ridges running through it. This park was the former hunting preserve of the Maharaja of Rewa and at present is a famous natural hub for White Tigers. White Tigers, now a major attraction around the world's zoos, were first discovered in Rewa, not far from here. The terrain is broken, with rocky hill ranges, running roughly east west, interspersed with grassy swamps and forested valleys. More >>

 
Kanha National Park

Kanha in Madhya Pradesh (five hours driving from Jabalpur, six from Nagpur) has sometimes been called the N'Gorongoro of India. The simile is apt, albeit Kanha is far greener and its cordon of hills far more densely wooded. Unlike Tanzania's N'Gorongoro, the Kanha valley is not a volcanic crater, though the enclosing hills are a consequence of geologically ancient volcanic activity. Panna & Pench National Park

Panna National Park is a very popular wild life reserve. Located in the central Indian province of Madhya Pradesh, this national park is at a distance of almost 57 km from Khajuraho. Among the better known tiger reserves in India, Panna National Park is one of them. The park is famous for its big cats like the tigers and the leopards. Periyar National Park

One of the well known wildlife sanctuaries in the south, Periyar sanctuary attracts a large number of nature lovers every year. Also called the Thekkady Wildlife Sanctuary, this place is ideal for watching the animals in their natural habitat. The forest here, slopes into the manmade lake at the bottom of the hill.
